Take a trip with your friends to Michigan’s Adventure Amusement & Water Park! Michigan’s Adventure is Michigan’s largest amusement and water park with more than 60 attractions. There are seven rollercoasters and more than 20 water rides! If you’re looking for an exciting amusement park atmosphere, this is your place to go. Mackinac Island is one of Michigan’s most well known places. After all, you do have to take a ferry to even get to the island making it pretty unforgettable. Most people note two things: horses and fudge. If you’re looking to pick a weekend for your trip, it’s important to note that the Fudge Festival is happening August 19-21.
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is located on the shore of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula. It takes about five and a half hours to get there but is well worth the trip (and the breathtaking sights). You can go cliff jumping, lay out on the beach, go swimming in the inland lakes or camp out! There is tons to do: kayaking, hiking, fishing, boating, and more!
Looking for the perfect summer day trip? The Detroit Zoo has more than 2,400 animals, including an anteater, beavers, bears, flamingos, lions, otters, sloths, penguins and more! If you’re an animal lover, this is your place to go.
A three-hour road trip away, Traverse City is your destination for sugar-sand beaches, the Sleeping Bear Dunes and cherry pie from the Cherry Capital of the World. Wait, there is more: biking along the bay, shopping, hiking trails, and golf! It’s safe to say you will have plenty to do at this beautiful summer destination.
