April is right around the corner and, soon after, summer! Soon, we’ll be surrounded by beautiful sunshine, warm weather and fields of spectacular flowers. To get the flowers though, we’ll need the rain. April showers can bum out almost everyone, with the constant dreary weather. Even as the air is getting warmer, we can find the last strand of our sanity breaking apart. It’s okay, though! Here’s a little guide to help you move away from the brink of Seasonal Affective Disorder.
1. Let yourself heal from the harsh winter
This winter was one of the worst yet. With record-breaking cold, accidents everywhere and just being completely miserable, you deserve some rest. Use this time before summer to catch up on some rest and relaxation. Nothing beats a rainy day like laying in bed with snacks and watching Netflix
2. Get yourself some new rain gear
Spruce up your wardrobe and the gloom with a new pair of rain boots and a new raincoat. Not only will you look adorable, but wearing bright/cute clothes could help brighten up anyone’s day!
3. Learn how to dance in the rain
“Some people feel the rain, others just get wet.” Who said this quote is up for debate, but the meaning is clear. Some people walk through life and just exist. They’re just getting wet. To feel the sunshine, you have to feel the rain. You have to hold your head up high and embrace what may happen to you. It never hurts to learn how to dance in it either!
