This time of the year can simultaneously get hectic, stressful and sad. Of course there’s the mini freakouts that occur when you’re suddenly forced to be productive again after an unproductive winter break. Then, suddenly, you realize it’s February 13th, you still don’t have a valentine and you ignore the stress of school because this is obviously worse. If you are stuck at home with no valentine, and all of your friends made plans to be with theirs, don’t worry because here at ing, we have the answer!
There is no better way to get over feeling down than eating food. We know that cooking is not a skill that everyone has so we made sure to keep it nice and simple. Here are two essential comfort foods that will get you through a day of binge watching Netflix under your favorite blanket:
Root Beer Float
1 can of root beer
3 scoops of icecream
Put the ice cream in a cup and drown it in rootbeer. You can eat it with a spoon, or even just mix it together and throw a straw in it. Remember, this is your cheat day. Being lonely on Valentine’s day is not fun, so add a couple extra scoops because who cares if you gain a little weight!
Big Ole Bowl of Noodles: Ramen style
1 pack ramen noodles
1 cup water
I think we all know how this goes guys, you put the noodles in the boiling water, add the seasoning, and boom! There is you delicious dinner for the night.
Feeling adventurous? Use some extra spices or add a meat to your ramen. If you are 21 grab a bottle of liquor of your choice and add it to the root beer because let’s face it, the drunker you are, the funnier those Netflix movies will get.
