How to Make Overnight Oats

Spread the love

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, yet so many college students skip breakfast for a few extra minutes of sleep. How can you expect to focus on learning if all you can think about is what you’re going to have for lunch? This can easily be combatted by preparing your breakfast the night before. Overnight oats are a healthy and easy option for student on the go. All you need are mason jars, old fashioned rolled oats, milk (or milk alternative) and your choice of toppings and spices!

Step one: Take your mason jar and fill it with oats depending on how much you plan on eating.

Step two: Fill up your mason jar with milk until all the oats are covered. The milk will be soaked up by the oats overnight.

Step three: Add your toppings!! Fruits, nuts and berries are all great choices. You can do all three if you want.

Step four: Add your spices! Cinnamon is my favorite.

Step five: Cover your mason jar with its lid and put it in the fridge overnight.

Step six: Wake up and enjoy your oats! You can even take them on the go if you are running late to class.

The best thing about overnight oats is that you can be as creative as you like! You can switch up your toppings, your spices and your liquid choice. Now that you know how simple they are to make, there is no excuse for missing the most important meal of the day!
