Pets of East Lansing

Spread the love

We always hear about people’s stories, but what about our close companions’ accounts? Well, for this article, the ing team decided to ask some pets how they handle the strange March cold spells.

What motivates you each day?

Food. I get super excited to see it. And people with food.

What is your favorite toy/accessory?

My fish house. I like to go in and out through the cave and explore it.

What do you love about the cold?

What is “the cold?” I’m a tropical fish.

What is your favorite activity in the cold?

Swimming indoors.

Who is your favorite friend?

Erica, my owner. She loves me, and she feeds me everyday. Sometimes I think she’s weird because she makes weird faces at me.

What motivates you each day?

Hearing my people get up. I always run into their room. I want to play! Food.

What is your favorite toy/accessory?

My fuzzy ball and my glorious scrap of cardboard.

What do you love about the cold?

I want to be outside on the balcony, but it’s too cold. I hate it.

What is your favorite activity in the cold?

Watching cars go by. I can still do that even if it’s cold.

Who is your favorite friend?

Mack [my owner]. Because he feeds me. And he plays with me.

What motivates you each day?

The only thing that really gets me up and moving each morning is when I know it’s time for my mom to feed me. I know that right after her alarm clock goes off I am going to get fed, so if she lays in bed too long I come over and start nudging her to get her moving!

What is your favorite toy/accessory?

My favorite toy is a round piece of wood that I like to chew on and roll around the room by nudging it with my nose. Sometimes I even pick it up with my teeth and toss it.

What do you love about the cold?

I love the cold because I have a lot of fur; it’s very easy for me to get over-heated.

What is your favorite activity in the cold?

I enjoy hopping around outside and stopping to eat as much snow as I can without getting a brain freeze. Sometimes my mom makes miniature snowmen on top of my head and I will stay perfectly still until she takes her pictures.

Who is your favorite friend?

If you haven’t guessed it already, my mom is my favorite friend! Whenever she comes into the room I do a few binkies (jump for joy!) and follow her around.

What motivates you each day?

Each day I’m motivated by breakfast and getting love from my people. Nothing’s better than chilling on the couch getting pets or getting treats, of course!

What is your favorite toy/accessory?

My favorite toy is my pound puppy stuffed animal. It makes a nice pillow for when I take naps—it’s also fun to nibble on its ear.

What do you love about the cold?

I have pretty thick fur, so the cold doesn’t really bother me.

What is your favorite activity in the cold?

I love hopping around and playing in the snow! It’s so much fun to run through and kick around! Sometimes my humans build snowmen for me to knock down.

Who is your favorite friend?

My best friends are my human, Courtney Jo, and San, a chihuahua who also lives with us. Even though he’s a lot smaller than me, we still love to play together.
